The event aims to uncover the needs and challenges of women in the field of STEM in Higher Education and the Industry.  The event will be held on May 31st, 2021 ONLINE. Join us! Αφορά εκπαιδευτικούς ή makerspace tutors που διδάσκουν σε παιδιά ηλικίας 12-18 χρονών σε δημόσια και ιδιωτικά  σχολεία ή σε makerspaces.  is the OPEN Call is the informative leaflet Το ευρωπαϊκό έργο ASSESSMAKE21 (https://www.assessmake21.eu) που χρηματοδοτείται από την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή στο πλαίσιο του ERASMUS+, προσκαλεί υποβολή δηλώσεων ενδιαφέροντος για συμμετοχή σε επιμορφωτικό πρόγραμμα με θέμα τη χρήση καινοτόμου εργαλείου αυτο-αξιολόγησης δεξιοτήτων του 21ου αιώνα κατά την ενασχόληση του μαθητή σε Μaker projects/ δραστηριότητες εντός makerspaces ή  σχολικών μονάδων.  Συμμετέχοντες Η συμμετοχή στο πρόγραμμα προϋποθέτει ειδικότητα (μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές) ή ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον ή εμπειρία σε Maker education. Online conference – 20 May 2021, 10:00-16:30 (CET) The mis- and disinformation spread in the Media has gained momentum during the COVID-19 pandemic. This raises the broader question of the role of media professionals and researchers in the spread of science and communication. Public understanding of scientific key issues is often limited and misinformation or even deliberate disinformation proliferate. The challenge of communicating scientific information to the public should be taken up by the scientific and media communities more strenuously. But, what are the current challenges faced by academia and media to achieve a working relationship? The Erasmus+ funded project ERUM intends to bring a solution to this by improving the educational offer on quality of information in the field of higher education. It aims at developing students’ transversal competences in terms of media literacy, evidence-based communication and resilience to mis- and disinformation. CA19122 European Network for Gender Balance in Informatics.1st Application Call for STSM Applications for Missions occurring until 1st May 2021 The main aim of CA19122 Action is to improve gender balance in Informatics at all levels, from undergraduate and graduate studies to participation and leadership in academia and industry, through the creation of a European network of colleagues working on the forefront of the efforts for gender balance in Informatics in their countries and research communities. Short-term scientific missions (STSM) are exchange visits between researchers involved in a COST Action, allowing scientists to visit an institution or laboratory in another COST Member state. In general, these scientific missions may last up to six months in another COST Member/Cooperating Member or Near-Neighbor Country joining the Action.
